VISION

West Morris Street Free Methodist Church mission statement:

We are called by God to do whatever it takes to reach people in love, restore them in Jesus Christ, and return them to minister to a lost world.

1. We are to be a Spirit-Empowered church. We will wait on the Lord in prayer for the Holy Spirit's guidance and power in changing lives.

2. We are to be a "Seeker Friendly" church. We will follow Christ's mandate to reach the unsaved, knowing that this is the way our church builds up and nurtures itself.

3. We are to be a People-Building church. We measure the success of our program not by the attendance or excitement they bring, but by the opportunities they create for building people for maturity, ministry and leadership.

4. We are to be a Full-Employment church. We measure our church by how many people are equipped and "set free" to spread the gospel, not by the numbers who attend.

5. We are to be a Highly-Mobile church. The most effective way to reach our city for Christ is to "free" our people to minister beyond the four walls of our "home base."

6. We are a Freely-Giving church. We will free up money and resources to reach unreached and desperate people at home and abroad, trusting God to meet our own material needs.
